Dr. Tim Riordan is a pastor, author, husband, and father. He grew up in Christian family who helped him to learn the importance of God’s word at an early age and who helped him get involved in ministry as a child. Tim came to know Jesus as his personal Savior at the age of seven. He and his brother began singing and speaking to groups and churches while in their early teens, and Tim went on staff at a church at the age of seventeen. At nineteen years old, Tim became a pastor at a church in the metro-Atlanta area. He has served churches in Georgia, Alabama, and Texas in a variety of positions including pastor, minister of music, minister of education and adminsitration and student minister. He currently serves as the senior pastor of SonRise Baptist Church of Newnan, Georgia.

Tim received a music degree from the University of Georgia, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. While working on his Master’s degree, God continued to not only give him a growing love for His word, but also a passion to see the unchurched come to experience God’s grace and truth. God opened up the opportunity for Tim to join the ministry team of SonRise Baptist Church in Newnan, Georgia in September of 2008. SonRise is a contemporary church with a relevant message that comes from the ageless truths found in the Bible.

Other than Jesus Christ, the best part of Tim’s life is his wife, Sandra, and his six children. Tim and Sandra were married in December of 1983, and God has blessed them with six children who love and serve the Lord.

Tim has authored five non-fiction books including Songs from the Heart: Meeting With God in the Psalms,  Immovable: Standing Firm in the Last Days, and Wisdom Speaks: Life Lessons from Proverbs. All of his books are available on Amazon.com. For more information, check out his “Books” page.

    • Thank you so much for reading Songs from the Heart and for letting me know how God is using it in your life. That is a great encouragement to me, and it means a lot that you’ve taken the time to contact me. I pray God will continue to use it in your life. Did you notice the free book offer in the early pages of the book? I wrote another book on how to study the Psalms, and you can download it as a gift. When you finish reading “Songs from the Heart,” would you mind leaving a review with Amazon or whatever service you used to buy the book? I would appreciate it, and it would help others as they consider my book for their own spiritual enrichment.
